Job Summary / Description :

KGMB (CBS), KHNL (NBC), and K5 are seeking a part-time Photojournalist. Hawaii News Now is the state's dominant multimedia news organization. This person must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. The successful candidate must have strong video photography skills. Experience with LIVEU and microwave live trucks is a plus. This includes a "digital first" mindset with a leading presence on Facebook, Twitter, hawaiinewsnow.com, as well as Instagram. The base salary for this position is $18.00 - $25.00 / hr. (DOE).

Duties / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• The successful candidate must have a strong eye for video storytelling.
• We are looking for candidates who have advanced knowledge of photojournalism.
• Candidates must be great communicators and should have natural leadership skills.
• Candidates must be able to sift through complicated issues and provide clarity to viewers and digital news consumers.
• Newscasts are fast-paced, "Happening Now" newscasts, filled with LIVE reports and breaking news from anywhere.
• Adjusting to situations is key, and thinking uniquely to break events to contribute as needed.
• Multi-tasking is key as you will be juggling many things at once.
