Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with VA or compact license for a night shift PCU position in an acute surgical unit, requiring Epic EMR proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a blended Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical (MS) setting
  • Patient ratios are 1 : 4 for PCU and 1 : 6 for MS patients
  • Level 1 trauma facility environment
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am
  • Use of Epic electronic medical record system is required
  • Locals are accepted at the same rate
  • Care for acute surgical and progressive care patients with varying acuity
  • Natural nails are required per facility policy
  • Holiday coverage may be required
  • Time-off requests must be submitted with application
  • Fingerprinting required for ER and Psych positions per Virginia law; results must be cleared before the start date

  • Active VA or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years PCU experience required
  • At least 12 months of experience in the applicable position required
  • Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (diploma, Associate's, or BSN accepted; ACEN or CCNE accreditation)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Returning travelers must not have been employed by the facility within the previous 6 months
  • Smoke-free and drug-free workplace policy compliance is required
