3rd Shift : Sunday-Thursday, 10 : 00 PM-6 : 30 AM
Training : Monday-Friday, 6 : 00 AM-2 : 30 PM (2-3 weeks)
Pay Rate : $20.00 / hr
Summary
The Storeroom Attendant is an onsite, customer-facing role responsible for daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of inventory at a customer location. This position requires strong reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently—especially after training, as the associate will be the only Vallen representative on 3rd shift. The Storeroom Attendant maintains a clean, organized work area while providing quality service to internal customers.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and put away incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment
Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies between goods and invoices
Sort, label, store, and organize materials using predetermined systems
Issue tools, parts, and supplies to site employees; maintain accurate documentation for issued / returned items
Enter data into ERP systems to maintain up-to-date stock records
Retrieve stored information to answer inquiries about inventory levels and delivery schedules
Document discrepancies and escalate for corrective action
Process requisitions to replenish inventory
Perform cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels
Inspect tools / equipment for defects or wear; report issues to supervisors
Maintain perpetual inventory of storeroom items
Deliver tools, PPE, or equipment to work locations as needed
Locate misplaced or lost tools / equipment
Restock POU (Point-of-Use) areas with janitorial supplies
Refill vending machines with small tools and PPE items
May operate pallet jack
May assist with minor equipment servicing, repairs, or lubrication
Support additional projects or tasks as required
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ months of relevant warehouse, storeroom, or material handling experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
Ability to load, unload, pick, pack, and move materials
Ability to read / interpret safety rules, work orders, and procedure manuals
Basic computer proficiency; must be able to learn two ERP systems
Proficiency with Excel catalog searches
Mechanical aptitude (ability to identify tools / parts) strongly preferred
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; fractions / decimals)
Strong customer service skills; role is customer-facing
Ability to work independently and be dependable, especially during 3rd shift
Attention to detail and strong safety awareness
