Concrete Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating project costs and assisting in the bidding process for concrete construction projects. The Concrete Estimator will analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates and ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for concrete construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
Analyze labor, materials, and overhead costs to develop competitive bids.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
Maintain organized records of all estimates and supporting documentation.
Assess and manage risks associated with project costs and timelines.
Continuously update estimating software and tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a concrete estimator or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods and materials.

Experience in commercial and municipal construction projects

Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
