Operator Zinc Furnace
Flexible schedule; 12 hour day shift or 12 hour night shift
Duties and Responsibilities :
Observe all safety rules and wear appropriate PPE. Report all safety incidents, unsafe acts and conditions
Operates a loader which loads and unloads all metals being processed
Perform routine cleaning
Responsible for set-up and break down of furnaces
Maintain a continuous visual check of process and periodically checks temperature
Screen, separate, and crush metal
Perform other reasonable and related duties as assigned
Equipment Used : Personal Protective Equipment, Crane, Scale, Forklift, Zinc Ingot, Crucibles, Dumpers, Crushers, Ball Mills, Hot Tops, Retorts, Vapor Can, Crucible Flat, Ribs, Funnels, Furnace, and a Tow Motor

Skills / Knowledge Required :
Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment
Must be able to read, write, perform basic math (addition, subtractions, multiply and divide).
Record keeping skills
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to use both hands at the same time while pushing, pulling, twisting bending, lifting, stooping, and walking
Must be able to work for long periods, while standing
Must have good eye / hand coordination with all physical movements well coordinated
Job Conditions & Hazards :
Moderate dust
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25kgs (55lbs)
Potential strains, pinch points, and lacerations
Hot Surfaces
Education Guidelines :
High diploma or Equivalent is required.
Must be able to read, write, perform basic math (addition, subtractions, multiply and divide).
Experience Guidelines :
Prefer at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
