American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring a WA or compact RN license and at least two years of recent ICU experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a major teaching and Magnet hospitalPatient population involves cardio-thoracic ICU cases with 1 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratioUse of ventilators, IV starts, and PA lines is requiredShifts available are 3x12 hour days (07 : 00–19 : 30) or nights (19 : 00–07 : 30)Weekend shifts are required unless otherwise noted in posted scheduleFloating required within hospital ICU units but not to other campusesEPIC charting system is used; prior EPIC experience is preferred but not requiredProvide advanced nursing care to critically ill cardio-thoracic patients using specialized monitoring and equipmentTeam-based environment with other experienced ICU nurses and support staffNo call requirements for this roleScrubs of any color may be worn; scrubs are provided for OR personnelMust work two out of three major holidays and no RTO is permitted during orientation weekAll candidates complete facility modules prior to the start, with an additional EPIC module during orientationFirst-time travelers are not accepted for this positionLocal candidates are accepted at the same rateParking is available for a daily fee\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license in hand or proof of pending licenseMinimum two years of current ICU nursing experience requiredMust have ventilator, IV start, and PA line experienceBLS and ACLS certifications requiredAt least two prior travel assignments beyond initial hospital requiredCOVID vaccination and booster requiredPrevious employment at the facility requires an 18-month separation before applying as a travelerTwo professional references required, preferably supervisory\n Benefits\n
