Mechanical Assembler

Join a dynamic team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for performing mechanical assemblies to build lawn care equipment such as aerators and blowers. You will use hand and power tools, including power drills, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and various basic hand tools, while working from blueprints. You may work on sub-assemblies independently or full assemblies in two-person teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assemblies to build lawn care equipment.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
  • Work from blueprints to accurately complete assembly projects.
  • Complete full assembly of products from start to finish.
  • Depending on the assembly department, produce either 15 units daily or 1 unit every 2-3 days.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • At least 6 months of experience with hand and power tools.
  • 1+ year of hands-on mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent attendance record, with no more than one day missed per month.
  • Good attitude and effort.
  • Preference for individuals who enjoy working on cars or have experience as a lube / auto tech.

    Work Environment

    Work in a climate-controlled, medium-sized shop that offers a laid-back atmosphere. Experience a range of work pace from low-key to urgent, depending on turnaround times. Collaborate with a partner to complete assemblies, and receive training support from a trainer. The first shift runs from 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with optional work on Fridays. The environment is full with product, but provides ample space for work. Enjoy a mellow supervisory style, but stay attentive to productivity, as the owner occasionally visits the floor.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blaine, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
