Tax Planning : Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization. Audit & Advisory : Provide guidance to leadership on tax risks and opportunities. Team Leadership : Collaborate with finance and legal teams to address tax-related issues. Process Improvement : Implement best practices for tax compliance and reporting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred). 5+ years of experience in tax compliance, planning, and management (public accounting experience is a plus). In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (experience with Intuit ProConnect, Drake Tax, or UltraTax CS is a plus). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven leadership and team management abilities
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee our tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws while optimizing tax strategies to support the organization's financial goals. This role involves managing the preparation and review of tax returns, advising on tax-related issues, and leading tax audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Reporting :
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and enhance cash flow.
Lead tax audits and manage correspondence with tax authorities.
Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering professional growth and development.
Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
