We're actively seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our Pacific Life Team in Newport Beach, CA. We are looking for self-starters to help shape the future of data engineering and drive data-driven success.

As a Data Operations Engineer you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by leading and acting as an individual contributor in our Data Ops support team. You will fill Data Operations Engineer role that sits on a team of 15 people in the PL Data division. Your colleagues will include other Data Ops Engineering professionals and you will be interfacing with internal / external, business and IT Stakeholders.

How you'll help move us forward :

• Partnering with data architects, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions in an urgent and effective manner.
• Implementing automated workflows to streamline data collection, processing, and analysis.
• Monitoring data pipelines to detect and resolve issues promptly.
• Reducing manual intervention to minimize errors and increase efficiency.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and agile methodologies.
• Demonstrate adaptability, initiative and inquisitiveness in issues resolution.
• Ensuring compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
• Skills in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Proficiency in languages such as Python and PowerShell for data pipeline management
• Strong knowledge of SQL for querying, optimizing and innovating databases and managing data.

Base Pay Range :

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$134,280.00 - $164,120.00
