Job Summary :
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Technical Writer Business Process Manager to support Department of Defense (DoD) programs with expert‑level technical documentation and business process development. This role plays a critical role in capturing, standardizing, and managing technical, operational, and procedural content across classified and unclassified environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in DoD documentation standards, understands system lifecycle support, and can transform complex processes into clear, actionable content for military, civilian, and contractor audiences.
Responsibilities
Active TS / SCI clearance required, and you must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
Over 10 years of relevant DoD experience
Minimum of 4 years' experience supporting SAP and / or SCI environments within the past 5 years
Expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
Proficient in Atlassian tools, including Confluence and Jira
Skilled in workflow management, communications, and business process optimization
Strong background in Department of Defense (DoD) program management support
Demonstrated ability to develop clear, concise, and user‑focused technical documentation for diverse audiences, including government and industry stakeholders
Maintains rigorous version control to ensure accuracy and consistency across contractual and program documentation
Partners closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to verify technical details and align deliverables with project objectives
Contributes to the development of documentation standards and process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
Designs, implements, and manages Program Management Office (PMO) business processes and workflows, including document coordination, task tracking, and internal communications
Analyzes program performance data through regular reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) to identify trends and resolve project scope issues
Coordinates meetings, manages administrative resources, and facilitates communication with internal teams and external partners
Communicates with clarity and precision, both verbally and in writing, across technical and non‑technical audiences
Skills / Experience

Master's degree in business or business management from an accredited school (AACSB, ACBSP, or IACBE), or engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program
10 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education

Security Clearance
A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is / may be required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
