Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for a middle school self-contained classroom designed to support students with autism. This role will be part of a Structured Learning Environment (SLE) program, which provides specialized educational services for students with significant and complex support needs in a smaller, structured setting.

Location : Winfield, IL

Position Type : Contract, Current School Year (CSY)

Duration : ASAP through June 2, 2026

Hours : Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Student Caseload : Approximately 8 students with autism

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of students within the SLE program
• Implement and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) effectively to enhance student learning and development
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate support services and monitor student progress
• Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment that promotes safety and engagement
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding student goals and achievements
