Dolphin, Inc., is seeking a Business Development Manager that will work closely with the General Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving all business development efforts, with an emphasis on nurturing current relationships and establishing new relationships and lines of business. This position will interface directly with the Company’s technical experts, legal team, and executives. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area.

YOU WILL :

  • Take on the exciting challenge of all strategic and operational responsibilities required in initiating and building long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Prospect and recommend new business opportunities and develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders based on mutual values, respect and trust.
  • Identify, prioritize, and develop specific partner opportunities and strategic alliances optimized for exceptional revenue growth.
  • Identify priority markets and opportunities and develop specific plans to drive results in those markets. Prepare for and negotiate with prospects.
  • Design new concepts and business models by considering factors such as market segmentation, value proposition, product positioning, and pricing strategy to meet profitability goals. Develop, refine and own the execution of win-win programs, sales processes, and business development initiatives that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines. Maintain records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors.
  • Have the ability to travel to meet the demands of projects, up to 30% of the time.

YOU HAVE :

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field, plus a minimum 5 years’ demonstrated experience in a strategic or business development role; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with foundries / investment casting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team skills with the ability to gain consensus.
  • Demonstrated success in research, exploration and execution of sales opportunities.
  • Proven record of successful business development in large enterprise, including acquiring consulting projects from new clients.
  • Superior presentation skills, especially with prospects and customers.
  • Effective and adaptable communicator : You ask effective questions and have great listening skills to engage with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, focus and lead business meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a very high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Strong understanding of factory standard vs. actual costing matrix, net present value evaluations, industrial engineering practices and factory related manufacturing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver financial target results.
  • Self-direction and comfortability working in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and statistical analysis software. Proficiency in ERP software; experience with Guardian or similar foundry software a plus.
  • Deep manufacturing process and operational experience is beneficial.
  • A strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning.
  • Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements.
  • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner.
