Part-Time Administration of Justice Instructor (Concepts of Criminal Law)

Description

Applications for Part-Time Adjunct Instructor pools are continually accepted (unless otherwise specified) by the District. They will be added to the application pool for review by hiring authorities on an as-needed basis. Should you be invited for an interview you will be contacted by a District representative.

Southwestern College is looking to hire a part-time instructor to teach Concepts of Criminal Law (AJ 151) : The curriculum provides an overview of historical development and philosophy of criminal law and key constitutional provisions. Includes study of legal definitions classification of crime legal research case law methodology and concepts of law as a social force. Also provides study of important criminal statutes and their relevant application in the criminal justice system.

Class modality is face-to-face. Dual Enrollment program in which classes may be held during weekdays and / or evenings at any High School sites (ELHS CPHS SWUH among others).

Qualifications

Any bachelors degree or higher AND two (2) years of professional experience OR any associate degree AND six (6) years of professional experience

Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services ( NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute INC. ( ACEI) . A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with online application.
