Roles and Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and make treatment plans. Provide hand therapy as a CHT. Work with hand surgeons. Mentor students and junior staff. Join in projects and committees. Help with planning, policies, and marketing. Keep good records and use time well. Guide assistants and support staff safely. Take part in outreach, research, and teaching.

Job Requirements

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
• Licensed to practice OT in Texas (TX Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners)
• BLS Certification required
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75–100 lbs and perform frequent physical activity
• Advanced education or clinical certification is preferred
• Prior work in orthopedic settings is preferred
