- Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units
- Floating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway) They staff the observation floor 1st, then the other units. Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses. Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start. Floating to different units mid-shift can happen. Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible. The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles. Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstate. Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus.

- Unit : CV Tele B3A - # beds : 32 bed - Certs : BLS, ACLS - Ratios : 1 : 3-4 - Charge Nurse : Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. - Techs : PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. - Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend. - Scrub Color : Navy - Tele : Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. - Vents : No - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night. - IV Team : No - RT 24 / 7 : Yes - Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes - Shifts : 12 hr shifts. 7-7. - Floating : To similar or lower acuity. - Floor specific orientation : 2 days on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele.
