Saab, Inc. is hiring a Buyer-Commodity Professional as we expand our team to support multiple business areas across North America. This role will make an impact as a critical contributor to defense, security, and manufacturing programs by continuously improving Saab, Inc's supplier base including, but not limited to, the following :

• Negotiate price, delivery and terms and conditions of purchased items.
• Understand and apply contractual Terms and Conditions.
• Read and understand drawings
• Request, obtain and evaluate quotes
• Coordinate RMA (Return Material Authorization) with suppliers
• Manage the supplier onboarding process and paperwork
• Coordinate resolution of invoice discrepancies
• Effectively communicate with internal and / or external customers
• Effectively use appropriate tools and computer skills
• Effectively use problem solving skills and analytical thinking
• Identify and qualify potential suppliers
• Analyze cost / price factors for pre-award and post-award actions for purchases
• Understanding of the FAR and DFAR flow downs
• Ability to productively work within a best practices approach in order to drive supply chain processes improvements.

Compensation Range : $63,000-$78,700

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education / training.
