A fast-growing scientific data company is hiring a Senior UX Designer to lead the development of AI-powered enterprise design systems. This role is a remote, contract-to-hire opportunity focused on building scientific AI workflows for regulated industries like life sciences and healthcare. You'll be designing mission-critical interfaces that bridge scientific research with machine learning applications including assays, lab instrumentation, and model output visualizations.

This is a consulting group that partners with global pharmaceutical leaders and AI teams to bring scientific data to life through intuitive, high-performance design. The team is looking for a seasoned UX leader with deep experience designing for AI / ML and regulated environments. You'll shape not only product experiences, but also strategic vision across platforms used by world-class researchers. Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of UX design experience, including 3+ years leading AI / ML platforms
  • Experience designing for life sciences, healthcare, or regulated environments (e.g., GxP)
  • Portfolio showing complex data visualization, scientific workflows, and AI interfaces
  • Proficiency in Figma, Miro, or similar tools for rapid prototyping
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication abilities
  • Experience designing for AI uncertainty metrics, feedback loops, and model inputs / outputs

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Advanced degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, or related field
  • Published research or presentations on human-AI interaction in scientific domains
  • Familiarity with assay development, LIMS, or computational biology workflows
  • What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

  • 60–80% UX Design Execution (Wireframing, Prototyping, High-Fidelity UI)
  • 20–40% Strategy, Research, and Design System Leadership
