smartdept. is seeking a talented Senior Web Designer with exceptional UX skills to lead an exciting redesign project for our luxury client’s website. This is a fully remote contract opportunity ideal for a candidate with over 5 years of experience.

In this pivotal role, you will create visually stunning layouts while designing intuitive user journeys and interaction paths. We need someone who can strike the perfect balance between creative design and a profound understanding of user experience. Your work will ensure that every aspect guides visitors toward their goals with ease. Collaborating closely with our development partner, you will focus on front-end design and user flow, while they manage backend coding. As the visionary steward of the brand's visual identity, you'll shape every creative touchpoint to reflect an ultra-luxury aesthetic that resonates with the most discerning travelers. A solid understanding of luxury brand nuances is essential.

What You'll Do :

Website Design :

Enhance and elevate imagery that embodies ultra-luxury travel.

Craft engaging website elements with meticulous attention to detail.

Design a comprehensive homepage, supplementary pages, a scalable design system, component library, and responsive headers and footers.

Integrate the luxury brand into visual storytelling, ensuring responsiveness across all devices.

Collaborate on brand storytelling, apply SEO best practices, support both visual and textual content, and provide website training or documentation for handoff.

Prioritize front-end design, user journey mapping, and seamless collaboration.

Luxury Brand Storytelling : Transform brand ethos into a cohesive visual narrative that highlights sustainable luxury, cultural authenticity, and transformative experiences.

Consistency & Excellence : Uphold brand guidelines, ensuring that all imagery reflects an ultra-luxury aesthetic.

Collaboration : Partner with marketing, CMO, and stakeholders to ensure design aligns with marketing and business objectives.

What You'll Need :

5+ years of web design experience, ideally with luxury branding or high-net-worth clientele.

A deep understanding of luxury aesthetics, including typography, imagery, and layout principles that appeal to a high-end audience.
