Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, affiliatedwith the Children's Hospital of New Mexico, is seeking a board certifiedor board eligible pediatric infectious disease physician as a third full-timefaculty in the Infectious Diseases division. Salary and track will becommensurate with training and experience. UNM offers a flexible career path,with opportunities to participate in clinical research for ourclinician-educators, depending on their interests. This full-time positionoffers a competitive salary and a supportive environment.

Our department provides primary care for children in Bernalillocounty as well as tertiary care for children from all over New Mexico as wellas southern Colorado, eastern Arizona, and west Texas. We provide care forpatients with uncomplicated and complicated infections, unusual infectionsincluding plague and Hantavirus, and infections in immunocompromised patientswith cancer, organ transplants, or rheumatologic illnesses.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• Completion of American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) approved Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases by time of hire
• Board Certified / Board Eligible (BC / BE) in Pediatric Infectious Disease
• Must be able to obtain a New Mexico medical license
