Entry-Level Phlebotomist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Entry-Level Phlebotomist to perform essential phlebotomy activities with accuracy and timeliness. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as you will be interacting professionally with clients, patients, and team members. You will confidently carry out both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties while adhering to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

• Welcome customers warmly and provide courteous service at all times.
• Ensure accurate and timely collection of specimens in accordance with field phlebotomy and Patient Service Center protocols.
• Explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures clearly and compassionately, helping to alleviate patient anxiety during the process.
• Dispose of biohazardous materials safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Complete and verify requisitions with a high level of accuracy.
• Accurately enter patient, specimen, insurance, and billing information into electronic systems, ensuring attention to detail.
• Research test and client information using the lab computer system.
• Label and prepare specimens for testing, maintaining compliance with required protocols.
• Package specimens carefully for transport and store them at the proper temperature.
• Maintain organized records and logs for phlebotomy activities.
• Assist with the compilation of monthly statistics and other data as needed.
• Perform basic clerical duties such as filing and data entry.
• Submit accurate expense and time reports according to specified deadlines.
• Exercise commitment to organizational standards and codes of conduct.
• Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to grooming and dress codes.
• Respond to fluctuating patient flow while being efficient with time management.
• Uphold courteous and professional interactions with clients and coworkers, fostering a positive work environment.
• Answer calls in a friendly manner, providing helpful information.
• Work independently while effectively communicating key information to supervisors.

• Participate in inventory counts, reporting shortages or issues promptly.
