About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the infrastructure, devops, and security of Envoy’s infrastructure platform. At Envoy, we are passionate about creating a scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platform that supports our company's business. We utilize cutting‑edge technologies, including Kubernetes, Terraform, Istio, Pulumi, and AWS Cloud, to automate our infrastructure and deliver reliable applications efficiently. By using infrastructure as code, we ensure that our platform is always consistent and up‑to‑date. In addition to supporting our core Infrastructure, we also aim to provide an excellent experience for our number one internal customer : the developer. Our platform provides an easy way to create and manage infrastructure and all aspects related to application deployment. This onsite position requires 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ office.

You will

• Lead our infrastructure team to architect cloud‑based solutions that meet the needs of our business. This includes working with application teams in designing and deploying services in the cloud.
• Manage and maintain our Kubernetes infrastructure. This includes optimizing cluster resource usage, cluster monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes issues.
• Manage and maintain our AWS infrastructure using Terraform. This includes provisioning and managing AWS resources, automating AWS infrastructure changes, and monitoring AWS infrastructure performance.
• Coordinate infrastructure incident and outage response. This includes identifying and resolving incidents, communicating with customers and stakeholders during incidents, and effective post‑mortem management.
