Job Title : Commissioning Engineering Technician
Job Description

You will work both individually and in teams, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful commissioning of advanced technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate owner’s operations technicians work schedules and manpower forecasts.
- Manage and track commissioning constraints and deficiencies related to the schedule or quality of Basebuild utility systems post-construction installation.
- Integrate construction and design schedules with commissioning activities.
- Provide reports and updates to schedule and quality metrics.
- Conduct system and facility engineering job walk assessments.
- Troubleshoot and complete root cause failure analysis on assigned projects.
- Train suppliers in owner’s commissioning software systems.
- Provide and manage access of suppliers in owner’s commissioning software systems.
- Interface smoothly with engineering design team members and client representatives.
Essential Skills
2+ years’ experience in commissioning or construction for I&C or Electrical Basebuild systems in the Advanced Technology sector.Experience with Rockwell Automation, PLC5, & Control Logix hardware and software.Experience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.Proficiency in control systems programming and configuration.Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, or similar technical field (preferred).Associate's degree or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering or a related field (direct experience considered in lieu of degree).Familiarity with various control system platforms such as BMS (Building Management Systems) or SCADA.Experience conducting I / O checkouts.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.Work Environment
This role is onsite in Abilene, with a workweek of 50 hours. Per Diem is included.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $50.00 / hr.
