Student Employee – Information Security

Job Summary :

Student employees in Information Security Department will assist with projects, tasks, events and research as assigned. This position will also conduct operational tasks and assist with administrative functions, as skills and knowledge develop which may include but is not limited to the following :

• Complete daily Operational Security tasks as assigned
• Effectively communicate to supervisor all Operational Security issues in a timely manner
• Enhance current and / or develop new Operational Security tasks as assigned
• Complete monthly reports (Vulnerability Management, Spirion, etc.) as assigned
• Complete the reports in the timeframe assigned
• Effectively communicate to supervisor and stakeholders in a timely manner
• Assist in maintaining security tools like SIEM, vulnerability assessment, firewalls, and IPS
• Participate in meetings as requested
• Assist with administration and operational projects
• Complete other tasks as assigned

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and / or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Requirements for LCC Student Employment :

The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters in which they are attending classes as follows :
