About The Position

The RRT will be knowledgeable and proficient in a wide range of Respiratory Care procedures and protocols, including but not limited to :

Non-Invasive Ventilation : CPAP / BiPAP

Airway Clearance : Chest Physiotherapy

Medication Delivery : Aerosol Therapy

Gas Therapy : Oxygen Therapy

Lung Expansion : Incentive Spirometry

Life Support : Ventilator Management

Diagnostics / Monitoring :

Pulmonary Screens

Hemodynamic Monitoring

Pulse Oximetry

Set-up and use of various monitoring systems

Departmental Involvement (as needed) : Pulmonary function testing, SCNY, endoscopy, education programs, performance improvement, and new projects.

Job Requirements

Education

Required : High school diploma or equivalency.

Preferred : Associate degree or Bachelor degree from a minimum of two (2) years of college education.

Experience

Required : One (1) year experience.

Preferred : Critical Care Experience.

Licenses / Certifications

RRT Credential : Must be a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner as recognized by the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).

State License : Must have a valid Oregon license to practice as an RCP.

Life Support : BLS from the AHA (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
