Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Job Description :

Protouch Staffing is seeking a Bilingual (English / Spanish) Certified Medical Assistant to support our healthcare provider teams in Houston, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting providers in delivering patient care across assigned clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatments, and dressing changes
• Perform general administrative duties in accordance with TJC, CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, government standards, and company policies
• Ensure all patient care is delivered under the direction of a physician and within the scope of a medical assistant
• Manage patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and eligibility
• Process claims and follow up on outstanding issues
• Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Handle high-volume call center operations (60-100 calls / day)
• Coordinate pre-authorizations and referrals
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
• Provide exceptional customer service and conflict resolution
• Accurately enter and maintain patient data and documentation
• Support both remote and on-site patient care operations

Qualifications :

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required

Bilingual : English and Spanish fluency

Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience

Experience with Epic EMR / EHR systems

Strong knowledge of patient care procedures, insurance, and administrative duties

Ability to manage high-volume call center operations while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills

Ability to work both remotely and on-site

Client Requirements :

CMA Certification

BLS (AHA only)

Immunization Titers : MMR, Hep B, Varicella

TDAP (within past 10 years)

Valid TB Skin Test or Chest X-ray

Seasonal Flu Vaccine
