Job Title : Design Project Engineer

Job description : The Design Project Engineer is responsible for managing and delivering complex engineering solutions through an iterative, customer-focused process. This includes early-stage concepting, simulation, layout design, and throughput analysis. As the primary technical liaison to the customer, the Project Engineer ensures that all engineering deliverables align with customer requirements, project timelines, and budget constraints.

The Project Engineer will also conduct internal and customer-facing design reviews, drive risk assessment and alignment meetings, and coordinate with project management for successful project delivery. The Design Project Engineer will also contribute to the design team by performing D modelling and engineering analysis when required.

Job responsibilities :

Project Engineer

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer on all technical matters. Plan the release of designs to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project timelines
  • Serve as a liaison between the engineering design team, project management team, and customer.
  • Initiate and manage layout development and review processes with internal teams and customers.
  • Application studies, initiate and manage layout development and review processes with internal teams and customers.
  • Engineering Data Management using our internal softwares
  • Process order change requests
  • Track design plan and ensure the design deliverables are delivered to customer on time
  • Review of concepts and designs received from India or from Design vendors
  • Track design open issues

Design Engineer

  • Design advanced automation equipment using D software from concept through final design including D drawings for manufacture and build
  • Work with cross functional team to implement all controls requirements, simulation requirements, and safety requirements
  • Perform engineering analysis to ensure design meets the requirement of the application
  • Design systems integration concepts to ensure seamless operation and compatibility
  • Prepare and evaluate budgetary considerations and stack-up analysis for projects
  • Provide cross-functional leadership to drive technical tasks to successful completion
  • Create and execute test plans to evaluate system performance and address any issues encountered during testing
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving to resolve engineering and technical issues efficiently
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • years of experience in design engineering and project coordination within industrial automation or capital equipment environments.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical design engineering, with a proven track record of successful projects and innovations
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar, with advanced skills in D modeling, assembly design, and drawing creation
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design standards, with expertise in statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with front end customer communication
  • Ability to travel up to %
  • Preferred Requirements :

  • Familiarity with engineer-to-order processes and custom equipment development.
  • Understanding of mechanical, controls, and electrical interfaces in automation equipment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Experience in a project management role is a plus
