ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Provide system administrator support to Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment Network (STAVE-NET). STAVE-NET is a key part of the US Navy's STAVE program. It provides a networked infrastructure that allows for the distribution of training content and courseware to various locations, including ships, schoolhouses, and training facilities.

Provide system administrator support to Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment Network (STAVE-NET) installations at various CONUS Navy training locations.

Provide system administrator operations and maintenance support to STAVE-NET users at various CONUS Navy training locations.

Provide system administrator support to STAVE-NET Research and Development to support integration of new systems.

Provide Tier 3 technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems

Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on maintaining a secure IT environment

Strong understanding of Group Policy Management and Active Directory in Windows environments

Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively

Up to 25% travel can be expected

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experience

Experience in system administration, with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments

Must have CompTIA Security+ CE

Must have a VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Clearance Requirements :

US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
