Our skilled team ensures that every vessel we sell is in peak condition, and we are looking for a talented Marine Technician to join our service department.

Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Marine Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and inspection services on a wide range of boats and marine engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring that every boat performs at its best.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintenance and Repairs : Perform routine maintenance and repair work on various marine engines and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and propulsion systems.

Diagnostics : Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

Inspection : Conduct thorough inspections of boats and engines to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.

Customer Service : Communicate with customers to explain repair needs, provide estimates, and offer recommendations for maintenance or upgrades.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all service work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any additional findings.

Compliance : Ensure that all work adheres to manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.

Parts Management : Order and manage parts inventory as needed to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.

Team Collaboration : Work closely with other technicians and service staff to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent; certification or degree in marine technology or a related field is preferred.

Experience : Proven experience as a marine technician or mechanic, with a strong understanding of marine engines and systems.

Skills : Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment; excellent problem-solving abilities; strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., Marine Mechanics Certification) are a plus.

Passion : A keen interest in boating and marine technology is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
• Automotive Service Excellence / ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers / SAE certification is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required
