Job Description :

• Administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render individuals insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures.
• Provide anesthesia for all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics.
• Conduct appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments and document findings.
• Collaborate with the anesthesiologist to determine the appropriate anesthetic plan of management.
• Manage all aspects of anesthesia care including preoperative, perioperative, and immediate postoperative care.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures.
• Provide airway management and / or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, and resuscitation situations throughout the hospital.
• Anticipate and exceed patients' and customers' expectations to meet all elements of the experience.
• Identify service and care improvement ideas and act on them to enhance customer experiences.
• Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and support the development of peers and colleagues.
• Delegate tasks to assistive personnel in a respectful and professional manner.
• Collaborate with members of the health care team to plan and coordinate perioperative care.
• Promote a healthy work environment through professional communication standards and positive problem resolution.
• Independently use and document the nursing process to deliver safe, individualized, age-specific care for all patients.
• Integrate safe and evidence-based practices into daily nursing care.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards regarding practice, environment, and documentation.
• Direct and delegate nursing care based on patient acuity and staff competency.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives and programs.
