Overview :
Seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations within a project-driven, fast-growing environment. This role will manage core accounting functions, support financial reporting, and partner closely with project, operations, and executive leadership to ensure accurate, timely financial data.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily accounting operations including GL management, AP / AR oversight, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, project financials, and variance reports.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements.
- Partner with Project Managers and Operations to ensure accurate job costing, revenue recognition, and project reporting.
- Manage cash flow reporting, budgeting support, and forecasting activities.
- Coordinate annual audit activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training, guidance, and workload prioritization.
- Support system enhancements, including ERP process optimization and reporting upgrades.
Qualifications :
6+ years of progressive accounting experience , with supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.Experience in construction, energy efficiency, engineering, or project-based industries strongly preferred.Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and project accounting concepts.ERP experience required; SAP ByDesign experience highly preferred .Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferredExcellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with leadership.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
