Key Responsibilities Accurately enter referrals and patient information into appropriate systems within established timeframes Communicate with referral sources and patients regarding documentation, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for services as required Required Qualifications High School Diploma One year of experience in healthcare administration, financial services, insurance customer service, claims, or billing Experience in a Medicare certified HME, IV, or HH environment is preferred Proficiency in navigating multiple online EMR systems Knowledge of payer guidelines and insurance policies
