Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Operates Cat 988 or 966 front-end loader.

Must be able to perform all required P / M's and pre-start checks on equipment.

Cleans up at truck bins (notifies debarker operator when using the bark reclaim system).

General cleanup of log storage area, including areas from the parking lot to the green stacker.

Cleans under lay down decks as follows : at the end of each shift.

Cleans up around silo.

Maintains metal log recovery by utilizing the metal detector and chain saw.

Requires the use of various hand tools ax, crowbar, hammer, etc.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Portions of the job duties may not be standardized or completely prescribed and will require independent action and thinking.

Inspection of equipment

Servicing and minor adjustments to the equipment (when necessary)

Cleaning of the equipment

Documentation and reporting of results
