Lab Technician
Join a dynamic R&D team as a Lab Technician, where you will engage in material testing and contribute to a variety of projects. You will work closely with a team of scientists, gaining training in complex testing methods and supporting technical service initiatives. There is room for growth into advanced roles within the team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for material testing, including Instron testing on materials like epoxy and thermoplastics.
- Execute application and laboratory test plans to support material and process characterizations, as well as root cause analysis.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.
- Manage and own assigned technical service requests, including documentation, status updates, and communication with requestors.
- Oversee assigned laboratory equipment, products, and supplies, ensuring preventative maintenance and supporting standardizations and 5S processes.
- Support quality and cost savings initiatives.
- Practice safe work habits and comply with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and chemical sample preparation.Experience in material testing, quality control, and mechanical troubleshooting.Strong understanding of chemistry and related scientific disciplines.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate Degree in a Scientific Discipline, such as Chemistry, is preferred.Candidates without a degree but with hands-on experience in material testing and sample preparation are welcome.Experience in managing or running projects independently or with minimal support is advantageous.The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 / hr.
