Program Director – 21st CCLC - Northwest - Alachua Co.
Description Summary
The Program Director – 21st CCLC is responsible for managing and implementing the educational programs, enrichment activities, and budget described in the approved application. This position ensures that the organization meets its responsibilities to the FDOE under the grant agreement and in a timely manner.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities) :
This position’s primary responsibilities are :
- Manage and provide administration of designated 21st CCLC programs and activities, posting schedules daily
- Lead the planning of high-quality 21st CCLC programming for club members and ensure program goals are met
- Provide ongoing communication between the 21st CCLC site, teachers, principals, community partners, advisory committee, and support staff
- Coordinate and facilitate staff training and workshops; maintain training logs
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure proficiency and quality of academic and enrichment programs
- Ensure relevant data, test scores, and EZreports are maintained and updated on time
- Develop partnerships with other clubs and through community outreach to increase program membership and participation
Additional Responsibilities
Monitor program expenses to ensure they fall within the approved grant budgetParticipate in new member orientation and processingMonitor and record attendance, activities, and parent / member participationPromote, inspire, and motivate youth participation in a variety of program areas / activitiesPromote a safe environment by ensuring areas are properly cleaned and club equipment is maintained in good conditionAttend relevant staff meetings and training eventsMay participate in additional special programs and / or eventsMay be required to drive club van periodicallyOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree requiredMinimum of 2 – 3 years experience working with youth ages 6 – 18Experience working with schools and community groups is a plusRequired Skills
Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including computer operations and Microsoft OfficeAbility to accumulate and analyze data to plan appropriate actionsAbility to work with the publicAbility to supervise and motivate youth while managing behavior issuesHighly developed ability to problem-solveExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presence and appearanceMust have the ability to work a flexible scheduleValid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and 3-year clean driving recordAbility to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug testSUPERVISORY : This position does not supervise others
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position generally works M – F, from 10 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM; however, may occasionally require hours outside of this schedule when necessary, including weekends. Work is conducted both indoors and outside.
