Procurement Specialist

Operation Blessing (OB), an international humanitarian relief and development organization, is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to acquire essential resources, through Gift-In-Kind (GIK) donations and purchases, in support of OB's programs. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB's Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ's name to meet physical and spiritual needs.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications :

• Strong experience in supply chain management and procurement
• Proven knowledge, understanding, and experience in large scale purchasing and managing corporate accounts
• Strong ability to create and implement successful purchasing strategies that benefit Operation Blessing and its programs
• Proven ability to service existing accounts and establish new connections
• Strong ability to evaluate and report on program effectiveness
• Strong ability to negotiate and strategize to find cost-effective deals and suppliers
• Ability to conduct and present frequent virtual meetings
• Strong understanding of sales trends, analyzing quantitative data, and communicating activity
• Strong understanding of OB's product quality controls with the ability to effectively investigate product quality concerns with donors and implement a root cause analysis and corrective action plan
• Strong computer skills, proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce CRM system
• Excellent oral and written communication with corporate-level presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal with ability to establish professional rapport with all levels of management, staff, and public
• Strong project management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as be an effective member of a team
• Flexible with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and consistently meet on-going deadlines efficiently
• Ability to travel when necessary
• Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with OB's nonprofit Christian mission
