Job Description

United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for a Process Innovation Engineer-Intern in our department based at our Research and Technology Center in Munhall, PA. The Material Process Innovation Engineer -Intern will work under the direction of a Process Innovation Engineer to support U. S. Steel's Product Portfolio.

The student will partner with a Material Development Engineer(s) and contribute to the team by :

• Developing an understanding inclusion analysis by use of SEM
• Process data collection concerning steelmaking & casting
• Developing internal work requests for lab work and simulations on material and reviewing results
• Tracking material as it processes through the manufacturing process
• Reviewing and communicating production trial results

This position will provide the student with exposure to various aspects of U.S. Steel's overall business, as well as interaction with cross-functional teams. The student should gain a well-rounded knowledge of the company's product development process and the Research and Technology Center facility.
