Quality Control Manager

AgriSompo has a unique opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to support our Quality Control group, reporting to the SVP, Reinsurance and Special Products.

What you'll be doing :

  • Responsible for driving "world class" service while creating a compliant organization which will attract agents and producers to ASNA.
  • Works closely with team to ensure compliance with the established rules and regulations set by the Risk Management Agency (RMA) and state Departments of Insurance.
  • Responsible for directing, hiring, training, and retaining a "world class" team.
  • Represents company at National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) meetings and participates on committees as assigned.
  • Works closely with other key management personnel to create and drive strategic plans. It is very important that relationships are built across disciplines to be effective.
  • Responsible for the efficient allocation of technology, support, and training resources impacting the organization.
  • Oversee the execution of internal and external reviews and audits, and at the request of the RMA.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate documentation of compliance reviews.
  • Must ensure all compliance reports are filed with appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate concerns and report irregularities.
  • Partner with corporate attorneys as necessary to address compliance issues.
  • Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to the appropriate individuals or agencies.
  • Communicate pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
  • Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

What you'll bring :

  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience managing teams with a proven record of delivering outstanding results. Must have experience motivating employees, creating a positive work environment and developing future leaders.
  • Minimum of five years of insurance and / or risk management experience (preferably crop insurance but will consider property and casualty insurance experience).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization
  • Ability to complete documentation requirements
  • Ability to utilize analytical thinking; find facts and solve problems
  • Ability to remain self-motivated and efficient
  • Ability to work both in an office setting and outdoors in a farm environment
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to remain focused on exceptional customer service, both internally and externally
  • Working knowledge of crop insurance regulations, policies, procedures and best practices
  • Works effectively under pressure and able to work within tight deadlines
  • Willingness to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize
  • Physical Requirements & Work Conditions :

  • Ability to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally; including ladders, bushels, ramps for off road vehicles
  • Ability to walk in agricultural fields, up to 3 miles
  • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins, up to 75 feet
  • Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and balance
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform work at significant heights
  • Ability to perform work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to work in an environment with high dust levels around grain and other bulk products
  • Ability to meet requirement of and utilize all applicable PPE, when applicable
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekend, holidays and / or as needed
  • Uses peripheral vision and depth perception for tasks being performed
  • Environmental Conditions :

    The work environment described is intended to represent the typical conditions an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this role. The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings, including exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, and dryness. Use of personal protective equipment is frequently required.

    This role also involves up to 20% travel.

    Compensation :

    Salary Range : $110,000 - 140,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
