Job Summary :
The Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) Program Manager will support the care of patients on medical surgical units who have psychiatric, behavioral, and / or substance use concerns. They will function as an expert resource and work collaboratively with the psychiatric, medical and other multidisciplinary teams. They will support patient care through direct consultation, coaching / mentoring, learning needs assessment, formal and informal education, and providing guidance to the Upstate Staff.
Minimum Qualifications :
Will accept one of the following combinations by time of appointment :
AND three years of related post licensure experience required. Prior leadership experience required. CPR-BLS required by time of appointment. Must successfully pass any pre-employment and credentialing clearances.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certification in crisis intervention or de-escalation training preferred. Psychiatric certification preferred. Experience with evidence-based psychotherapy modality and / or geriatric experience preferred.
