Logistics Exercise Planner
Amentum has an opportunity for a highly qualified Logistics Exercise Planner to provide support to Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT) Headquarters. This position is located at the Makalapa Complex, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. You would be an excellent candidate for this position if you :

PACFLT N4 advises the Commander on all matters concerning theater-level logistics and ensures that operational logistics links tactical requirements to strategic capabilities. The N40 Fleet Logistics Plans and Exercises directorate supports PACFLT efforts in exercise support. N40 Fleet Logistics Plans and Exercises ensure efforts fall within all defined rules, requirements, regulations, and laws as well as ensuring the concepts are integrated into concepts of operations (CONOPS), concept plans (CONPLANS), and operational plans (OPLANS). In this position, you will provide logistics management and administration support to COMPACFLT N40 operations and to ensure oversight programs are appropriately and effectively addressing gaps and shortfalls. This initiative seeks to improve N4's ability to provide logistics analysis in support of USINDOPACOM theater objectives. You will provide Staff Officer support, research, and analysis to solve difficult challenges related to logistical support to OPLANs, the Theater Campaign Plan (TCP) and ongoing operations. These efforts may include drafting Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and / or instructions to support the N4 mission.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide oversight of exercise planning and implementation of innovative solutions in support of exercise objectives.Provide oversight of the planning, logistics, schedule, and administrative support to PACFLT N4 initiatives with internal and external stakeholders and partners and allies, as required.Provide oversight of the collection and communication of operational logistics requirements and capability shortfalls associated with US forces and partner nations.Support the coordination and allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational demands.Provide SME support to the procurement, transportation, distribution, and timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to the Pacific Fleet.Identify potential logistical challenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions to operations.Work closely with various Indo-Pacific command units and external partners to facilitate effective logistics support.Provide briefings to COMPACFLT N4 staff, USINDOPACOM and Service Component Staffs on programs and operations supporting PACFLT Logistics.Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or universityAt least 10 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), including at least 5 of experience with related logistics workAt least 5 years of experience working in military plansAt least 3 years of experience in a senior military staff office (Service HQ, Combatant Command, OSD, JS)Knowledge of the Indo-Asia-Pacific regionExperience in operational and / or strategic levels of DoD planning and / or executionExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficient at authoring analytical and / or policy documentsProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility later during employment. Note : US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications :

Theater knowledge and advanced joint planning skills to shape and deliver the desired plansDetailed knowledge of USINDOPACOM policy and strategy and a thorough understanding of USINDOPACOM TCP / TCO, GCPs, CT EXORD, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and Theater Security Cooperation Plans including linkages to parallel national interestsThorough understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to include mission analysis, course of action development, analysis, comparison, recommendation, and approval.Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO / GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officialsCompensation & Benefits HIRING SALARY RANGE : $145K - $160K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
