Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Tutoring Services department on the Gainesville campus. The writing peer consultant is responsible for tutoring students in university-level composition and grammar and assisting students, faculty, and staff with services provided by the Gainesville Writing Center.

Responsibilities

• Read student essays and make suggestions for improvement in content development, organization, formatting, style, and grammar / mechanics.
• Explain instructor comments / corrections on students¿ assignments.
• Conduct workshops related to composition.
• Assist in the general operation of the Writing Center, including recording session notes.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
