Salary Range : $89,000.00 - $141,875.00
Overview : Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and Strategy for Operations Finance and Administration, the Data Analyst is responsible for conducting financial and administrative performance analysis for Yale's Operations units. This role plays a key part in transforming data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making at both the unit and senior leadership levels. The Data Analyst will identify and integrate data from multiple University systems and subsystems, consolidating it to support monthly management reporting. They will design and maintain dashboards and tools that provide timely, actionable information to a broad range of stakeholders. The analyst will evaluate existing models and reporting tools for effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability. The role also supports a variety of strategic, ad hoc projects, including the development of complex financial models that draw from diverse institutional data sources. Working collaboratively with operational units, the analyst will gather key assumptions, iterate on model design, and deliver clear projections - such as revenues, expenses, and funding implications - that guide planning efforts. Strong communication skills are essential, as the analyst must translate complex financial data into insights that can be readily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance and six years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated application of financial, accounting and economic concepts.
