Description of the role :

Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego, a leading national tutoring company, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor for High School English. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to high school students in improving their essay writing and reading comprehension skills. This is a part-time position that offers competitive compensation and great opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities :

Work with the student's homework, tests and quizzes to help them reach their goals
Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in-home with flexibility to schedule based around the student's activities
Help students improve their reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills
Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary

Requirements :

3rd or 4th year college students with goal to earn a bachelor's degree in English or related field preferred

Prior tutoring or teaching experience

Excellent command of the English language

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for education and helping students succeed

Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment

Benefits :
