A Day in The Life
This position will be under the software operations transfer team within the Software COE. A major part of the position would involve developing and validating software tools / applications and procedures for releasing production software to manufacturers and field service teams.
This position will develop, test, and validate the software tools and applications on robotic hardware systems directly most of the time. These tools and applications directly support the test fixtures on the production lines and the service activities in the hospitals.
This engineer will work closely with other software teams, project management, operation teams, field service teams, and quality teams to implement the design transfer for software releases.
This engineer will also provide training to field service engineers and manufacturing engineers on system operation, troubleshooting, and debugging. The engineer will maintain an up-to-date understanding of the system design and behavior, and regularly upgrade their technical skills.
This engineer will also develop software tools for monitoring system performance, improving utility of logged data, and enhancing debugging.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $98,400.00 - $147,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
