Summary :
We are seeking a Pharmacist to support our compounding operations. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with experience in sterile and / or non-sterile compounding, particularly in men's health. The pharmacist will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, oversee compounding processes, verify prescriptions, and maintain rigorous quality assurance practices. Familiarity with mail-order pharmacy workflows and multi-state dispensing requirements is strongly preferred, as we regularly ship medications to patients across several states.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Verify and review prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
- Oversee and participate in the preparation of sterile (e.g., injectables) and non-sterile (e.g., RDTs, troches) compounded medications.
- Ensure all compounds are prepared in accordance with USP 795, 797, 800, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain sterile compounding environments (cleanroom, ISO hoods) according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with providers and patients to support optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records, including formulation logs, batch records, and compounding worksheets.
- Support inventory management and ensure availability of necessary compounding ingredients and supplies.
- Participate in quality assurance processes, including potency verification and documentation reviews.
- Provide occasional patient education or counseling regarding compounded medications.
- Assist with operational workflows related to mail-order dispensing, including packaging, labeling, and compliance with multi-state requirements.
- Be available for flexible scheduling, including coverage for staff PTO or increased workflow.
Requirements
Qualifications
2+ years of experience working as a Compounding Pharmacist.Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in good standing.Strong knowledge of applicable USP compounding guidelines.Understanding of state laws regulating pharmaceutical compounding practices and multi-state dispensing requirements.Familiarity with mail-order pharmacy processes, including fulfillment, packaging, and shipping standards.High proficiency with computer systems and pharmacy software.Strong knowledge of compounding preparation, product handling, packaging, and labeling.
