For over 40 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. Our wonderful nursing staff meets our patients and families where they are, private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, or our free standing 24 bed inpatient center. Your Life as an Inpatient Volunteer Program Specialist

Your role is very important to our patients and the organization. This is a fast-paced position requiring you to meet the needs of our staff's request for volunteers in relation to our patient's care. Each day you will be blessed with being in contact with our volunteers who graciously give their time and talents to serve the mission of our organization. You will be required to determine which volunteer's abilities meet the needs of the organization. On an ongoing basis, you will be finding new volunteers and ensuring that they have an understanding of their role. As well you will ensure that each month we have an accurate account of hours served by our volunteers. Recognition of the volunteers is critical to the success of this program.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma, recipient of G.E.D., and some college / experience preferred.

Minimum of one year experience in paid supervision of volunteer staff; hospice experience preferred.

Minimum of one (1) year experience in a volunteer program preferred.

Experience with scheduling or matching skill sets with requests (ie. Staffing or Home Health Scheduling) preferred.

Advanced experience with Office Products, Cloud based software and mobile device utilization required.

EMR database software experience preferred.
