The Role :

We are looking for a Product Manager to own and optimize the gacha monetization systems in Highrise. The gacha is the beating heart of Highrise's economy, driving both player delight and revenue. This role is about balancing two forces : building monetization systems that sustain the business while keeping player sentiment high.

We welcome candidates from multiple backgrounds : systems design, game design, product management, or even VIP-level gacha players with deep knowledge of what makes gacha mechanics fair, exciting, and sticky. What matters most is that you understand the psychology of gacha systems, can design and iterate with speed, and know how to keep players engaged and spending happily over time.

What You'll Do

Own the Highrise gacha system end-to-end : mechanics, economy design, roadmap, and optimization.

Identify monetization opportunities and player friction by analyzing data and listening to community sentiment.

Design and iterate gacha mechanics (drop rates, pity timers, event structures, pricing) that maximize revenue and retention while maintaining fairness.

Run fast experiments : ship MVP changes, test player response, measure results, and iterate.

Balance player psychology and business goals, ensuring gacha strengthens retention and loyalty.

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, economy experts, and community managers.

Monitor and own key metrics : ARPU, conversion %, retention, churn, NPS, and player sentiment.

What Great Looks Like

Deep affinity for gacha systems : you have worked on them, designed them, analyzed them, or lived inside them as a top-tier player.

Monetization expertise : strong grasp of gacha mechanics, probability design, rarity systems, and how to sustain economies.

Player-first monetization philosophy : you know that long-term revenue only comes from trust and fairness.

Data-driven & hypothesis-led : comfort with player data, defining metrics, and running experiments.

Fast and iterative : bias for "always be shipping," learning, and adjusting.

Ownership mentality : you take full responsibility and push projects forward.

Collaborative & direct : you work well with experts, debate honestly, and align teams on outcomes.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in product management, systems design, game design, or economy design in free-to-play games, OR demonstrable expertise as a VIP gacha player with a deep understanding of mechanics and player psychology.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret player data and sentiment to drive decisions.

Proven track record of designing, launching, and optimizing monetization systems.

Excellent communication skills, clear, direct, and able to build trust with both players and teammates.

Comfort working in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with community-driven products where player sentiment drives success.

Familiarity with virtual worlds or avatar-driven economies.

Strong background in probability, statistics, or behavioral economics.

Passion for social and creative virtual spaces.
