SUMMARY
Carries out and assists in the delivery of nursing services to residents, including oversight and direction for caregivers.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintains and supports good working processes for care staff ensuring continuation of services to residents understands the assisted living philosophy
2. Supervises nonprofessional staff in the dailydelivery of resident care, schedules job assignments and develops nursing unit priorities and assists in identifying substitutes for staff absences.
3. Monitors work assignments, providesfeedback, evaluates performance, and redirects services as directed by Resident Care Manager or Director of Nursing Services of pertinent problems.
4. Prepares or assists with new admissions, transfers, and discharges, providing direct resident care as determined by resident condition.
5. Completes treatments and procedures, as ordered by the physician, and within scope ofpractice and related training while observing resident conditionand reporting changes to physician and Resident Care Manager.
6. Evaluates and records residents' needs and responses to medications and administers medications as ordered by the physician and directs medication aides accordingly.
7. Monitors resident skin condition and reports changes or new problems to physician and Resident Care Manager and monitors residents on alert status.
8. Completes incident forms, transcribes and carries out physician orders and notifies family and physician as directed.
9. Documents all pertinent information oninterdisciplinary notes and 24-Hour D.N.S. reportform, and documents medications, treatments and proceduresperformed on appropriate records.
10. Respects resident rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy andproperty.
11. Assists others with lifting, and attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings.
COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents' families, visitors and staff.
Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to residents, employees, the facility, andcompany information and records.
Maintains a safeand secure working environment and practices safe working habits. Complies with the attendance policy.
Maintains neatappearance, good personal hygiene, and appropriate attire. Assists with special projects as assigned and performs other related duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May be requiredto supervise the care staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a current,unencumbered LPN license. Excellentwritten and oral communication andmotivational skills are essential to success. Ability to creatively problem-solvein both resident care and employee management situations. Must be able to perform the essential job duties with orwithout reasonable accommodations.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
LPN Certificate or Associate Degree in Nursing. Minimum of 1 year working in geriatric nursing, including experience withmedication administration, delivery systems and pharmacies. .Geriatric experience or coursework an asset.

PTO :
AL / PCI Salary : Accrue PTO at rate of 0.0615 / hour during their first year / 16 days.
PCI Hourly : Full-time and Part-Time team members (over20 hours / week) accrue PTO at rate of 0.0423 / hour during their first year.
