CNC Machinist - Universal Grinder (ID / OD)

POSITION SUMMARY

The ID / OD Grinder, under the direction of the Machining Manager, will program, set-up, adjust and operate ID / OD Kellenberger and Danobat grinders to grind close tolerance, precision machinery parts using engineering and machining documentation. This position requires a combination of technical capability, creativity and troubleshooting abilities and a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Plan sequence of steps to achieve precise product dimensions using engineering documentation
• Program and set up grinder for OD, ID, thread, profile, and cam grinding operations
• Operate grinder and make adjustments as needed
• Conduct final inspection on parts using indicators, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
• Conversational programming of Fanuc CNC controls with Kellenberger interface (preferred, but will train)
• Maintain equipment and machines / perform PM
• All other duties as assigned
