Knowledge and Qualifications :

  • Must have experience working with Pre-K, elementary, and / or middle school students in an academic setting or extensive experience in a camp and / or extended day program.
  • Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities in a calm and supportive manner.
  • PreK staff requirement : the ability to lift children, generally up to 35-50 pounds
  • High school diploma required.

Description of Duties :

  • Support the students in our program with various activities, both academic and social-based.
  • Actively engage students in both academic, social skills, and other fun / social-based activities.
  • Assist site coordinators in preparing centers and activities for student engagement in structured and / or free play.
  • Assist site coordinators prior to the start of Academic and / or Enrichment programs.
  • Assist with transitioning students to different activities, schedules, as well as arrival and dismissal.
  • Preferred : Candidates available to work Wakefield Public Schools early release days. They are scheduled for varying Fridays beginning at 12 : 00pm

    • Salary : $26.00
