Registered Nurse Patient Flow Manager - Egg Harbor Township - Full Time

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree required in clinical discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in the State of New Jersey required
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience including clinical practice experience required.
• Three (3) years of demonstrated management experience in hospital operations or a clinical department is required.
• Weekend, shift work, holiday, on-call, and overtime required
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and continually changing priorities to make rapid safe decisions.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under administrative direction, the Patient Flow RN Manager (PFM) oversees the Patient Flow Department and supports the hospital's patient flow objectives, as they relate to patient placement assignments, customer service and capacity optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelors in Nursing or Allied Health required, Master's degree preferred.

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION : Current RN licensure in the State of New Jersey required

EXPERIENCE / COMPENCIES REQUIRED :

Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent delegation, technology, and analytic skills preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Clinical and Patient Flow information systems required at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 60-90 days from date of hire.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position requires sitting, standing, walking, and stooping a majority of the workday. Works with the following equipment daily : computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.

This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
